ISUFT 2008

Freight pipelines can serve as an economic and environmentally friendly alternative to conventional transportation means of road, rail, air and water. Freight pipelines can be especially beneficial in congested urban areas, or in applications in which high volumes of material need to be moved along the same route.

The International Symposium on Underground Freight Transport (ISUFT) was established to explore the latest developments on all aspects of freight transportation, including technological developments, potential areas of applications, performance, costs and benefits, and implementation and construction considerations.

ISUFT 2008 is being held March 20-22 at the University of Texas-Arlington (near the Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport). This fifth international symposium brings together leading practitioners in the field and melds state of the art research with practical application.
