The Resource Geologist will manage the GIS Database and GIS Geologist and will be supported by the IT Manager and other administrative Managers in the application of his/her duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

• The Resource Geologist is responsible for managing all of the Company's exploration, technical and mining databases, resources and reserves computation procedures and for the organisation and setup of a GEMS integral mine modelling and database system, to enable 3D geo-modelling and resources /reserves estimations for all of the company's mineral projects.
• The Resource Geologist will contribute to and provide general Database/GIS support and expertise for all feasibility assessment work and/or exploration work as may be needed by the Mining and Exploration Departments. This will include:
• Review of current practices, data validation and implementation of controls and conversion of relevant existing data to a central database, including recommendations for improving current practices of data collection from/to various project sites and/or the regional bases where exploration, feasibility, development and mining activities are taking place.
• The recommendation and implementation of procedures for future data generation, acquisition, digitalization, validation, treatment, storage and the setup and maintenance of a central database that is to be kept updated and duplicated at the head office.
• The implementation and training of the database operators and adoption of strict working procedures with computer-aided applications for the interpretation/ generation of detailed 3D geo-modelling and estimation of resources and reserves inventories, grade control procedures, short and long term mine plans and other mine modelling mandates as may be required from time to time.
